Supporting up to 1000 Amps, Roam's MTC® 6003 IES10KvB series ("v" = Voltage Code) of Power Input Panels provides a rugged and cost-effective, exterior connection point for temporary power input to trailers, buses, or temporary structures. Roam's 1000A Power Input Panels use E1016 (J-Series/16 Series) Male Cam-Lok* brand connectors in three rows of 400A (max) connectors bus-barred together allows the panel to support up to 1000A.
The standard in safety and outdoor reliability, Roam's line of Power Input Panels (also known as Tap Boxes or Inlet Boxes) makes connecting a temporary power input to line power output from a building fast, easy, and most importantly—safe. The MTC 6003 IES10KvB line is part of Roam's UL Listed (US & Canada) series of three-phase Power Input Panels. Roam uses genuine Cooper Crouse-Hinds Cam-Lok* brand connectors. Similar compatible connectors are sometimes referred to as "Cam-Lock" connectors by their manufacturers, distributors, and/or users.
Roam's 1000A Power Input Panels are functionally identical to our 1200A (max) Generator Panels (docking stations). The maximum amperage that the Series-16 Cam-Lock connectors can handle is 400A each, so any panel that needs to support over 800A and up to 1200A must use three rows of Cam-Lock connectors that are bus-barred together.
Roam's MTC 6003 IES10KvB 1000A Power Input Boxes accept either #2 to 2/0 or 2/0 to 4/0 cables via Cam-Lock plugs on the generator cable side, and from #2 AWG to 600MCM cables on the internal wireway side. The wireway connection supports up to dual 600MCM cables (via bolted on lugs) on internal bus bars.
Roam offers the MTC 6003 IES10KvB Power Input Panel in models that support up to 240 VAC (120v, 208v, 230v, 240v)—MTC 6003 IES10K2B, up to 480 VAC (277v, 330v, 440v, 480v)—MTC 6003 IES10K4B-BOY, and up to 600 VAC (575v, 577v, 600v)—MTC 6003 IES10K6B. All of the 1000A panels are UL Listed and cUL Listed (Canada) at those voltage levels. Brown-Orange-Yellow color coding (for labels, Cam-Locks, & Cam-Lock spring caps) is normally used for most 480 VAC applications.
For all 1000A power input panels, it is vital that the panel be fed only from a single generator or power source or from multiple generators or power sources that are synchronized. Do not connect multiple power sources or generators to this panel unless all power inputs have been synchronized. Failure to properly synchronize (phase match and voltage match) inputs from multiple power sources or generators can cause short circuits, severe equipment damage, and and potential injury to operators. Additionally, all power input cables should be of same cable type, conductor material, gauge, and length.

Roam's 1000A Power Output Panels (Boxes) can also be ordered with no neutral connection for site and generator configurations designed for just Ground, L1, L2, and L3 cables. The "No Neutral" versions of these panels are also UL Listed and cUL Listed (Canada). To order a panel without a neutral connector just add a "-NN" to the end of the Model Number. The "No Neutral" panels use only four sets of three Cam-Lock connectors bus-barred together (a set of three for Ground, a set of three for L1, a set of three for L2, and a set of three for L3) for a total of twelve connectors.
